There are many places around the world, that local Christians are a door to hell. Endless catacombs under the city of Paris, for example, or Dimmu Borgir lava formations in Iceland. When it comes to sheer jaw-dropping effect, however, leads to hell, that Darvaza in Turkmenistan takes the cake. I would also like to classify Darvaza one of those places that should be a must-visit list of any serious explorer who visited the sites of the Earth’s breath away. Darvaza gas is a crater at the entrance of which is on fire, and upwards of 37 years.
Darvaza gas crater:
Turkmenistan is rich in natural resources. At present, sovereign state, Turkmenistan was the Soviet Union until 1991. It ‘was the rule of Soviet Russia, in 1971, when geologists were conducting gas drilling Kara-Kum desert and found an underground room near the village of Darvaza (known in Turkmen as Derweze, but sometimes also Darvaza). The discovery of a room was accidental and caused the rig to collapse, when the giant crater filled with toxic gas exposed to the outside world. Concentration of gas in the crater was so high no one dared to go. E ‘was when someone had the idea of gas as the crater on fire to burn before the toxic fumes drifting near the town Darvaza.
Geologists have found the idea of burning gas was smart and went ahead with the light of the burning crater. As a result, the supply of quality natural gas beneath the crater is almost endless as the burning was the crater. At the time of this post, in June 2009, the crater is still burning gas Darvaza and has been since 1971 without interruption. Nobody can imagine the amount of quality natural gas burned to 38 years of the crater on fire. Nobody can estimate how much more gas still is. At first light the gas crater in the fire, he thought the fire was extinguished after a few days. There is more than a few days ago for a couple of weeks or months. Has been in recent decades and burning gas crater as it did the day went on. Put all the economic aspect loses natural gas lost, imagine the environmental impact of combustion gases for decades to cause burns non-stop!
